1. Christine Welsh went searching for the voices of her grandmothers because she was fed up with being ashamed of her family. Nobody i know had a need to find their heritage.
2. I dont think she should have hid her native background. I also think its not entirely her fault because her family pushed her to hide it when she was young.
3. I think it was a survival mechanism because it protected her family from rude people and their bad jokes.
4. My family enjoys farming a lot. Each generation up their is many farmers.my generation there is less country kids and more "city kids".
